The "Commission Ground" (designed hereafter by "CT") is the operational body of the Association of the Friends of Forest (AFF).For this reason, it has the responsibility for the concrete actions on the ground, actions which imply a close cooperation with the forest agents of the National office of Forests (ONF).
It is currently made up (19.09.2008) of 51 members, all voluntary, including 43 beacon keepers.

It has in load the beaconing and the maintenance of the whole of the routes marked out in forest of Fontainebleau (except GR. and managed by the French federation of the Hiking, the FFRP).The network of marked out routes (more than 300 km) understands the Blue Paths, the various circuits of walk of the ONF, the circuit of the 25 Bumps in the Solid mass of the Three Pinions and the Turn of the Solid mass with Bicycle (TMV).

It also has charges the continuous review with it with the Remarkable Trees of the Main forest of Fontainebleau. This mission is entrusted at a subcommittee, Blue the Rounds Group. This work is done in narrow partnership with the ONF.

Moreover, the CT, from its thorough knowledge of the ground, is the recognized interlocutress of the ONF within various boards of management of the forest: reception of the public, erosion, etc…

Lastly, the CT is responsible for two of the publications of the AFF: the Guide of the Paths of Walk in the Main forest of Fontainebleau (6th edition) and the Guide of the Remarkable Trees.
