A national park in debate PDF Print E-mail

The main forest of Fontainebleau currently profits from a statute of “Forest of Protection” which ensures a happy balance between the preoccupation with a protection of the biodiversity and the opening of the forest to a vast public. Association worries about evoking again the idea of a national park out of drill of plain whereas this project was still recently drawn aside, following "Grenelle" of the environment.

It estimates that the creation of a national park in this main forest would be unsuited, taking into account its localization in the middle of a very urbanized zone and highway network with strong frequentation which crosses it, useless, because the forest profits already from a series of effective protection measures, inappropriate, taking into account the constraints which any national park implies.

It estimates on the other hand that it is advisable more effectively to face with the true difficulties which currently arise in the forest namely: the reception of the public, erosion, consequences of the climate change, road traffic, in particular that of the heavyweights.
